Trayvon Martin’s memory lives on at the Academy Awards



It isn't all about glitz and glamour at this years Academy Awards, It’s also five years  since Trayvon Martin’s death and some of the  big stars including  Kerry Washington, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union and others used the opportunity for his remembrance.
These women just before the Oscar started, dressed in gray hooded sweatshirts, with the name “Trayvon” on the front, and shared the powerful photos on social media. Director Ava DuVernay also joined in the photo sharing of her putting on hoodies.

Trayvon Martin is a 17-year-old high scholar shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla., in 2012.
