NATO Party in Brussel spiced up by President Donald Trump’s behavior

President Donald Trump did put America first when he addressed NATO leaders yesterday. The Europeans planned on talking up the president’s campaign promises like greater NATO involvement in fighting terrorism and an unequivocal administration commitment to mutual defense.

That’s undoubtedly not what they got

Instead doing it the trump way he echoed criticisms that they spend little on the alliance military “NATO members must finally contribute their fair share and meet their financial obligations,” he stated. Failing to do so “is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States.” he concluded, by reiterating that the Europeans owe America “massive amounts of money” from the past.
Also he did not highlight America’s commitment to Article 5 that emphasize on the promise to defend all member states. He had threatened to stand aloof if members didn’t “fulfill their obligations during his campaign. America would “never forsake the friends that stood by our side” after 9/11” was the most he said.

After all the hitch  summit organizers went through  to accommodate President Trump and his anemic attention span, he shows up and berates the hosts for not paying their fair share of the defense spending cake.

Poor NATO !

President Trump did not let the media off without anything to talk about. Just as the group was stepping out, camera showed him shove off the newest member of NATO, Montenegro prime minister to get to the front of the group.

The NATO summit comes after the British police announced it will be withholding intelligence reports from the United States as it was revealed that there were leaks to the media about the Manchester bombing investigation.

While the summit isn’t yet over, so far it’s has all been about the U.S. president and his antics.
