European Champions League draws and verdict

The UEFA comprises of 55 national association members, but only six (England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain) have a club in this week’s round of 16 draw in the champions league competition.
The Champions League as we know established to serve the purpose of a pan-European tournament. But with sides facing each other year after year to the point where Arsenal and Bayern Munich will clash for the fourth time (seventh and eighth time, accounting for two-legged ties) in five years.  Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona having also been paired together for the third time in just four years is a concerning trend. We think UEFA should look at a way of solving this problem to let smaller clubs be represented at the competition. But before that let's take a look at how this year’s group of 16 could turn out.

Here's what DA Money soccer pundits make of the draws
Arsenal v Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich is obviously one team arsenal doesn’t wish to meet this season, but if they are to hand pick between Bayern and Real Madrid it would definitely have been Bayern. While Robert Lewandowski is the main threat both Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller is past their prime that being said Arsenal definitely has a chance.
When you look at both squads, they both have plenty in terms of quality and depth.
Our prediction for this encounter is a 50/50 tie for both teams

Manchester City Vs Monaco
As an unseeded team, Man City will play the first leg at home. The first leg will happen at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, February 21 (TBC) and the second leg played on March 15 (TBC) at the Stade Louis II.
Presently Monaco is playing the best football in France and could be very difficult for Pep Guardiola’s men. Just Man City's Director of Football Txiki Begiristain recently said will be a very difficult game for us, but we will try to get past them. "We are just happy to be here and we are looking forward to this tie."
This is the first time Man City is meeting Monaco in a competitive game. The Ligue 1 side beat Bordeaux 4-0 away last weekend and is one point behind leaders Nice currently, as they chase their first ever title since 1999/2000.
Based on the current form and standings Man city is expected to win and qualify for the next round.

Real Madrid Vs Napoli
Holders Real Madrid will face Napoli in this year’s UEFA Champions League last 16, on 15 February. The first leg will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu and the return leg at the San Paolo on 7 March.
After an agonizing last day of qualification Napoli finished top of their group ahead of Benfica and Besiktas. In Serie A presently they are fourth, eight points behind Juventus. The top scorer of the team is Mertens, who is from Belgium  with 10 goals, and also boast of  ex-Real Madrid players Callejón and Albiol in its ranks. Their previous meeting took place in the first round of the 1987-88 season, with Maradona playing for the Italian side.
On the other hand, star studded  Real Madrid side that include Cristaino Ronaldo, Gareth Bale to name but a few.  Unless a miracle happens is expected to advance from this fixture.
Benfica vs Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund defied defending champions Real Madrid and won their group, therefore, was rewarded with a winnable Round of 16 draw. While, Benfica is an interesting and tricky matchup in the Champions League, they lack the overwhelming star power that some teams bring to the table, however they do have a team filled with solid and often underrated players and are currently sitting at the top of  the Portuguese Primeira Liga, .While on their own  Borussia Dortmund may not be on top of Germany right now, their  lack of domestic success hasn't dampened their European spirit their young, freewheeling team has created a lot of excitement around the club
Dortmund beat Real Madrid so we are hoping they come on top. Let's say it’s a Dortmund victory.
Porto Vs Juventus
Will come as a tie between two heavyweights of European football, that is the most successful Italian club in history playing the second-most decorated club in Portugal. Porto after beginning the group stage with a home draw against Copenhagen and a loss to Claudio Ranieri's merry men, they had to scrap to get out of the group, and needed a 93rd minute penalty to dispatch Club Brugge and kick-start their campaign.
Over the last few seasons that followed a few miserable seasons languishing in Serie A's mid-table, it’s difficult not to overstate how impressive Juventus emergence as European contenders has been. Propelled by Intelligent management both on and off the bench, the Italian giants dominate both domestically and continentally.
Italy's champions will expect to win and progress to the next round
Leicester v Sevilla
This a tough one, Leicester with Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez turning up found a bit of form at the weekend, but they've deserved the criticism they've had this season. In total Leicester has only really turned up for one game this season. Sevilla's are a strong physical side and while they might not be regarded as one of the European soccer power house, their home stadium is really an intimidating atmosphere. And one man who could come back to haunt Leicester is Steven N'Zonzi, who has become a real superstar for Sevilla recently.
This draw is a tough one and we are giving it a 50/50 for both teams.
Paris Saint-Germain v Barcelona
For their slip against Ludogorets Paris Saint-Germain's punishment is a tie against an opponent they have drawn three times in the last five UEFA Champions League seasons “Barcelona”. Patrick Kluivert Paris Saint-Germain’s director of football admitted he would have rather the Ligue 1 giants drawn against any other team in the round of 16 other than Barcelona. So far this season, both sides have surprisingly struggled in domestic competition, but can claim to have in their squads some of the best talents in the world. Surely the game promises an entertaining atmosphere. While it’s going to be a hotly contested game we project Barcelona to come out on top.
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Atlético Madrid
Under the management of Diego Simeone Atlético Madrid has gotten into the UEFA Champions League's consistently, and are expected to at least make it to the quarterfinals. Bayer Leverkusen on their own has what it takes to present a significant challenge to the Rojiblancos, but Atléti enter the knockout rounds as a big favorite after a convincing group stage performance.
