This 22 year old man probably hacked your Mail account

One of the four people indicted by the U.S. government last month is Karim Baratov a 22 year old Canadian citizen born in Kazakhstan, currently facing charges of working for Russia’s FSB security service hacker Dmitry Dokuchaev.

He is being accused of hacking Yahoo! Inc. email accounts on behalf of the Russian government and is seeking bail ahead of a hearing to determine whether he should be extradited to the U.S. for trial.
The case revealed Baratov was paid to gain access to 80 email accounts, including 50 Google accounts, belonging to top Russian politicians and bureaucrats according to the U.S. government.
To get to his victims, he used spear-phishing attacks, using fake emails to compel them to provide sensitive information, and would then sell their passwords to Dokuchaev for $100 each.
More than 500 million Yahoo accounts were hacked by 2014 damaging the company’s reputation and threatening a takeover bid from Verizon Communications Inc.

The hackers ultimately stole the contents of 6,500 Yahoo accounts in an attack the company called "state-sponsored." allegedly eyeing  people of political interest who might be vulnerable to financial fraud, the list their  victims include the White House, its military and diplomatic corps.
Though it’s not clear if the Canadian citizen, born in Kazakhstan knew he was working for the FSB, he told the court he lived with his parents until 2015.

The youth said he owned a Mercedes and BMW while attending high school.
In 2014 he started his own business protecting web servers from hackers by which he earned C$10,000 ($7,500) a month that year.
In 2015, he moved into a C$642,000 home and over time added a C$155,000 Lamborghini, a Porsche 911, an Aston Martin and another BMW to his car collection.
In addition to this he had about C$260,000 of equity in his home when he was arrested, about C$5,000 in his business bank, About C$31,000 cash was found by Police when they searched his home following his arrest.
The Assets he obtained through illegal activity, including his black Mercedes Benz C54 and Aston Martin DBS the U.S. government wants to size before his extradition.

Because of the breach Verizon cut its offer price for yahoo by $350 million to $4.48 billion.
