Since her emergence on the scene 12 years ago, Liu Wen (simplified Chinese: 刘雯; traditional Chinese: 劉雯; pinyin: Liú Wén;) has gained high profile admirers. High profile designers such as Anna Sui and Phillip Lim count on her for glamour to their collections while other persons close to her agree she embodies the best of what the modeling business has to offer.

Based in New York City  Liu is known to be the first model of East Asian descent to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, also she is the first spokesmodel of East Asian descent for Estée Lauder and the first Asian model to ever make Forbes magazine's annual highest paid models list.
The New York Times named her "China’s first bona fide supermodel" in 2012. American Vogue remarked that she had "by far, the biggest social-media audience of any model" In an April 2014 article about social media's rise in the fashion industry. While Models.com dubbed her as the first ever Asian "New Supermodel" in 2014. Liu became the first person in the world to showcase an Apple Watch on a magazine cover when she appeared on Vogue China's November 2014 issue.
She is also the first Chinese model to ever appear on the front cover of American Vogue when she achieved that in 2017.

A supermodel within the industry who’s consistently posing for the best photographers, walking fashion month’s top shows, and simply being her charming self in street style photos Liu made an estimated $7 million last year, making her one of the highest-paid models in the world.   According to Liu earning the title of a supermodel mean something special to her. “It’s  important,” explains Liu via email from Beijing. I take my position as a role model seriously, particularly when it comes to my young fans back home she said. “My career transforms from a job into something that involves social responsibility.” As one of the few Asian models to break through fashion’s glass ceiling most young people and aspiring models look up to me as a role model.
