Russian Financial market in turmoil over possible clash with the U.S

Fiery tweets and sanction threat from president Trump have sent Russian financial markets into turmoil.

On a recent tweet, President Donald Trump warned Russia that it should "get ready" for a missile strike on Syria, vowing to thwart any missile defenses it would bring in.



The U.S. earlier slapped sanctions on a total of 38 people and companies including billionaire oligarchs with close ties to the Kremlin.

 In a move directed at Russia’s for its aggressive foreign policy, military interventions in Syria  and its role in Western democracies subversion.

Sending fears to investors about a possible escalation as the rantings  pushed stocks and bonds plummeting further from Wednesdays low.Also the ruble, Russia’s currency slide to a 16-month low equaling  almost a loss of 12 percent of its value since last Friday. 

Even as Investors keep deliberating which oligarchs or companies could be hit next as speculation about more sanctions hitting Russia keep increasing even though ones released last Friday has swirled through Moscow’s financial circles.

Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told the country’s parliament on Wednesday that “The sanctions aren’t just increasing, they’re turning into a tool of real economic war,” “We will take all measures needed to stabilize the situation.” He said.

While formerly U.S. ambassador to NATO Nicholas Burns, took President Donald Trump to task on his tweet to Russia about a possible missile strike on Syria. He said the president of the United States needs to be calm and needs to act presidential "This is not a video game." He said
